Lesson 4 of 28 · 6 min
Getting started: from your website to your first cited page
The whole journey end to end, and how little you have to set up to begin.
The short version
Getting going is close to point-and-go. You tell RankMoss about your business once, connect the places it should read data from and deliver content to, and from then on it does the research, the writing, the safety checks and the measuring for you. You stay in control of what publishes.
You do not need to be an SEO expert, know what AEO stands for before you start, or write anything yourself. The steps below are the whole journey, and most of them are one-time setup you never touch again.
Step by step, the first time
Here is the entire first run, in order. Each step links to a fuller lesson elsewhere in University.
- Describe your business, or point RankMoss at your website. It drafts your positioning, the brain everything is written from. You review and refine it.
- Connect your analytics (Search Console and GA4) so the engine can see what is working, and connect a delivery channel so approved content can reach your site.
- Let it generate. The engine plans real questions in the markets you serve and writes answer-first pages, each one passing the safety layer.
- Approve. New projects start in review, so you read each piece and decide what goes live. Nothing publishes without you.
- Watch it land. Once pages are live, the engine measures whether the AI engines cite you, and turns the questions you are missing into the next batch.
What happens on its own after that
Once you are set up, the loop runs on a schedule without you. It refreshes your analytics, re-checks whether AI engines cite you, and surfaces new content gaps as they appear. You come back to approve content and to read how visibility is trending, not to operate machinery.
That is the whole idea: the careful, repetitive work a good team would do for AI search, running quietly in the background, with you making the decisions that matter.
