Let the crawlers in
ChatGPT reads the web through crawlers such as GPTBot and OAI-SearchBot. If your robots.txt blocks them, it can't read - or cite - your page.

Answer the question directly, first
Open the page with a two to four sentence answer that stands on its own, before any preamble. That self-contained answer is what an engine can lift verbatim.
Then use question-shaped headings so each section maps to a query, and make every section make sense on its own if quoted out of context.
Be specific, structured and trustworthy
Engines distrust vague or unverifiable content. Use concrete facts, clear definitions and named entities. Add a short FAQ with direct answers and mark it up with FAQPage schema.
Thin or padded pages are rarely cited, so give the topic real depth - substance an engine can draw a confident answer from.
